"Fur and Loathing" is the fifth episode of the fourth season of the television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
A grisly collision between a Mercury Sable and an eighteen-wheeler leads to a murder investigation at a furry convention. Meanwhile, a man is found dead in a freezer in an apparent robbery-homicide.
The show is often cited by fans as an example of misrepresentation of furry fandom by the mass media.[1][2][3]

Gil Grissom and Catherine Willows inspect the death of a woman involved in a traffic collision with a large truck, and find another victim: a man in a raccoon fursuit.[1] Evidence leads to a Plushies and Furries Convention, whose members are depicted in a costumed orgy.[2][3] Later, more "animals" are introduced and they stumble upon something much deeper than dressing up as animals.
Nick Stokes and Sara Sidle investigate a case where a man is found shot dead and frozen to the floor of a cold storage room. The case becomes more interesting when a man arrives at the station in a distraught state to report that he had been kidnapped. He claims that he witnessed the murder, and was stuffed in a trunk until he escaped and arrived at the station.
